Phone Upgrade to Disrupt Service for Modesto Police

Modesto Police are planning an upgrade to their phone systems this week. Wednesday morning, the non-emergency lines for the Police and Fire departments in Modesto will be offline starting at 4am.

9-1-1 service will not be affected.

In an effort to make sure the public has access, Modesto Police headquarters will be opening at 4am tomorrow. Also two phone numbers will be dedicated for public, non-emergency use.

Officials expect service to return to normal around 6:30 tomorrow morning
