Stage One Power Alert Monday

State power officials say higher temperatures and an increased demand for electricity prompted a Stage One power alert Monday.

Officials with the Independent System Operator are asking Californians to conserve energy. A Stage One alert is called when the state's power reserves fall below seven percent.
