Baseball Ticket Prices Going Up

Baseball fans, it's going to cost you more to watch an Oakland A's game this year.

Average ticket prices for 2004 show A's fans will pay about a $1.20 more than they did last year. Giants fans a few cents less.

A survey of Major League Baseball team "average ticket" prices released today shows the average A's ticket this season will cost $16.49 compared to $15.65 last season. San Francisco Giants tickets will cost $21.60 compared to $21.63 last year.

On game day, if you buy four average tickets, two small beers, four small sodas, four hot dogs, parking for one car, two game programs and two adult-sized caps it's going to cost you $155.52.

Who has the highest priced home game tickets? According to the Associated Press, taking in the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, fans who buy an average tickets this year will pay 28 dollars and 45 cents a pop.
