Lawsuit Delays Oak Canyon Ranch Development

Wednesday, March 31, 2004 - 03:00 PM

A lawsuit between Tuolumne County and Calaveras County is now delaying the Oak Canyon Ranch Development.

Settlement meetings have been going on between county attorneys on the issue after Tuolumne County filed the lawsuit in February.

The reason for the lawsuit was Calaveras County's alleged failure to reduce the anticipated traffic impact to O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

The Oak Canyon Development near Copperopolis plans for over 22-hundred homes and over 700 townhouses, as well as stores and golf courses.

Another settlement meeting is scheduled for April 15th.
