Another Delay in Peterson Case

Opening statements won't be heard in northern California until next Tuesday -- but already, the makeup of the jury at the Scott Peterson murder trial has changed.

A panel of seven men and five women was seated earlier today.

But it became an even split of six men and six women after one of the original jurors produced a letter from his employer, and said he'd lose his income if he had to serve.

He was replaced by one of the six jury alternates.

And that leaves a pool of three men and two women backup jurors.

Peterson is charged in the deaths of his pregnant wife Laci and their unborn child.

He would face the death penalty if convicted.
