Holiday Fatalities Down So FarMonday, May 31, 2004 - 05:50 AM
Authorities say drunk-driving arrests and fatalities have dropped during this year's Memorial Day weekend compared to the three-day period last year. According to a report released Sunday, the California Highway Patrol made 1,183 arrests over the weekend, down one from last year. The report says fatalities, which were reported by all law enforcement agencies statewide, also dropped from 25 last year to 17 this year.
