Fire Burns in El Dorado National ForestTuesday, June 22, 2004 - 11:25 AM
The El Dorado National Forest has a fire burning in the Mokelumne wilderness.
Firefighters are using minimum suppression techniques, according to Jerry Snyder from the U.S. Forest Service. The blaze is located 21 miles southwest of Markleeville, between Highway 4 and Highway 88.
Five crews and a helicopter are working the fire.
About 200 acres have been blackened so far by the fire, and Snyder says they're estimating containment around next Monday.
