Truck Fire On New Priest Grade

Firefighters on scene of truck fire on the new Priest Grade (Highway 120) in the area between Moccasin and Big Oak Flat. The truck is in the eastbound lane.

The utility truck was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived and was putting up a large column of smoke. Additional fire units were being dispatched to keep the blaze from spreading into the surrounding wildland there.

Fire was contained at 9:37 a.m. There was no spread to the grass and brush in the area. CHP is on scene. Expect traffic to be blocked or congested on the grade for a while.
