4100 Near Murphys Wake Up To Power Outage

Lightning struck a neighborhood in Murphys last night, knocking out power to as many as 4100 customers in the surrounding areas.

Emily Barnett with PG&E says multiple lightning strikes were actually reported, and one transformer was blown.

It started around 10pm Tuesday night, and as of 9:30 Wednesday morning some customers still had no electricitysince the weather was causing more outages as repairs were being done.

All power was back on by 11:30 Wednesday morning.
