Old Priest To Reopen

The Old Priest Grade Road has been tentatively scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, February 9th.

Tuolumne County Road Superintendent Barry Bynum says a 90-foot long slip out in the road occurred earlier this month and required major repairs.

After sawing through the existing pavement and clearing it out for removal the area was prepared for fresh asphalt. That will be laid down this week, weather permitting. Old Priest Grade road is a very steep and sinuous street that is popular with locals interested in shaving off travel time on Highway 120. The road is located between Moccasin and Groveland.
