Stolen Laptop Goldmine of Personal DataTuesday, March 29, 2005 - 08:40 AM
A brazen thief recently walked into a University of California, Berkeley office and walked out with a lot of students' personal data -- including Social Security numbers --stored on a laptop computer.
The university revealed yesterday that the laptop stolen contained Social Security numbers of more than 98,000 individuals has been stolen.
