Bay Area radio personality Doctor Don Rose has died.
Rose arrived in the Bay Area in 1973 after working in Philadelphia and quickly became the Bay Area's number-one disc jockey with his wacky sound effects and jokes. Rose worked at KFRC until 1986. Rose died in his sleep Wedenesday at his home in Concord. He was 70.
