The Search Continues For An 86-Year-Old Mariposa Resident

Doug Pearse who is known as Grandpa Doug was reported missing on April 21st after his car was found abandoned in the Summit Camp area of Mariposa County.

Brian Muller with the Mariposa Sheriffs department says they have some clues and will continue the search for the next few days.

Approximately 60 search and rescue personnel from Mariposa, Fresno, Madera, and Yosemite National Park are currently assisting with the search effort.

Searchers believe that Pearse might have attempted to walk out of the area because of car problems.
