Two Copperopolis Men Arrested For BurglaryThursday, May 26, 2005 - 03:45 PM

Copperopolis, CA -- Two Copperopolis men have been arrested after police served a search warrant on a residence on Cheyenne Road.
The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department says about $4500 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered from the home of Gary Santos. Police say they found 1000 antique Italian floor tiles, pressurized gas cylinders and other shop-type equipment. Authorities arrested 24-year-old Anthony Smith and 21-year-old John Curtis Kolb and charged the men with burglary and possession of stolen property.
At the time of Smith's arrest, police say they recovered more stolen property, bringing the total monetary value of the items to about $6000.
The Sheriff's Department says 27-year-old Caleb Mallory of Copperopolis is also being sought for questioning. Anyone knowing Mallory's whereabouts is asked to call the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
