San Andreas, CA -- Infrastructure proposals for a 33-unit cottage neighborhood in Murphys have been given the go-ahead by the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors.
At Monday's board meeting, the supervisors approved the land-use changes necessary to begin construction of roads and water pipes and sewer systems on the 26-acre site. Developers plan to build the proposed Sapphire Creek project on the parcel of land formerly occupied by the Bret Harte tuberculosis sanitarium from the late 1920s to the mid-70s.
Construction could begin as soon as this summer.
