Byron, CA -- Amid blazing fires in Southern California and Arizona, Northern California was hit with the largest fire of the season yesterday.
The wildfire in the Altamont range of Contra Costa County burned more than 250 acres. The fire threatened many structures, however there was no damage other than wild land; according to fire officials more than nine engines, four tankers, three bulldozers and two helicopters were used to fight the blaze.
