San Andreas, CA -- An Arnold man is facing charges of resisting arrest and obstruction following a confrontation with Sheriff's deputies Friday night.
The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department says deputies went to the home of 22-year-old Jesse Taylor on Shady Circle at about 9:00 to serve three arrest warrants on Taylor. Reports indicate that Taylor attempted to flee on foot through a wooded area next to the residence.
The chase apparently ended when Taylor tripped over a log and broke his right leg.
The Sheriff's department says Taylor was placed under arrest and transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment of his injury.
The original warrants were for felony evading, driving on a suspended license and several probation violations. Taylor's bail is set at $38,000.
