Sonora, CA -- CDF says a fire that scorched an area north of Columbia Monday was ten acres in size.
Investigators say the blaze was caused by a vehicle, although it's unclear how. CDF Spokesman Craig Hart says the fire also destroyed three older vehicles belonging to Kris St. John at a cost of about $4000.
Numerous structures and an orchard were threatened by the fire, but there were no reports of any further damage.
Eight engines, two hand crews and a water tender responded along with one CDF air attack, a helicopter and two air tankers.
No injuries were reported.
