Twain Harte Library Extends Services and Opening Hours

The Twain Harte Branch of the Tuolumne County Library will expand hours effective Monday, October 3, 2005.

New hours will be Monday thru Thursday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This adds one hour each day to the current schedule, thanks to funding by the Board of Supervisors in the budget adopted in August.

The Branch expanded its physical quarters in the spring, more than doubling previous space. Funding for the move and new furnishings was raised by the community, and a new ten-year lease was approved by the Board. Over the summer, services increased 35%, reported Director of Library Services for Tuolumne County, Connie Corcoran.
