PG & E To Hike Natural Gas Costs For CustomersFriday, September 30, 2005 - 04:40 PM
Sacramento, CA -- Pacific Gas and Electric is telling its customers in some parts of California they can expect to pay more for natural gas in October, a lot more.
PG & E says natural gas costs will increase by 70-percent compared with the same period last year. And San Diego Gas and Electric expects household customers to pay 45 percent more for natural gas during the winter.
PG & E says Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devestated natural gas facilities in the Gulf of Mexico, causing prices to surge nationally.
