Jamestown, CA -- CHP reports that a second person has died as a result of an automobile accident on Highway 108 last week.
A report indicates that 64-year-old Josphina Baldobinos of Menlo Park was riding in the back seat of a 1990 Lincoln Town Car that collided with a semi-truck pulling two trailers full of live turkeys. Authorities say Baldobinos passed away shortly after 11:00 last night at Memorial Hospital in Modesto.
The collision happened last Thursday night on Highway 108 near the "rock shop" area. CHP says 78-year-old Rebeca Carbajal of Modesto also died in the accident.
Another passenger, 56-year-old Anita Bautista, was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
Investigators say none of the three women were wearing seatbelts.
