Valley Springs Motorcyclist Collides With Wandering Dog

San Andreas, CA -- A Valley Springs man is recovering from moderate injuries after a motorcycle accident involving a dog.

CHP says 51-year-old Jerry Hudson was riding eastbound on Huckleberry Lane just after 9:00 Friday night when a large, black dog ran onto the road.

Hudson's motorcycle reportedly hit the dog, knocking Hudson from the bike. The motorcycle continued off the road into the ditch. Police say the dog was not located after the collision.

Hudson was transported to Mark Twain Saint Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
