Colfax, CA -- The Sonora Wildcats are on their way to the sectional championship game after battering the Colfax Falcons on the road last night.
The Wildcats completely dominated the contest, posting a convincing 32-14 victory. The win earns Sonora an appointment with Manteca next Saturday night in the big game at University of the Pacific.
Manteca sealed their place in the big game with a 20-14 win over Bear River in the other semi-final matchup.
The game is a rematch of week six of the Valley Oak League regular season in which Sonora stopped the undefeated Buffaloes 31-28 at Dunlavy Field.
Sonora and Manteca are co-league champs and will face off for the C.I.F. Saq-Joaquin title next Saturday night at 7:30.
That game will be aired live on Star 92.7 and streamed on MyMotherLode.com.
