Sonora, CA -- Now that Thanksgiving is over the mad rush to get everything done before Christmas is here.
Tuolumne County Solid Waste Manager Mark Rappaport is asking residents to add one more thing to the list, recycling. Christmas trees become a fire hazard when kept too long and CDF says burning trees in the fireplace is extremely dangerous. Rappaport says Christmas trees should not be mixed with other trash for disposal or recycling.
There are several drop-off locations in the county as well as curbside collection. For more information contact the Tuolumne County Solid Waste Division at 209-533-5588 or visit them at www.tuolumnecounty.ca.gov.
