Commission Picks Up Copper Mill Consideration

Copperopolis, CA – After continuing its discussion on the Copper Mill mixed-use development in Copperopolis, the Calaveras County Planning Commission is set to resume consideration of the project Thursday.

The reason for the original continuance was to allow the public more time to review the latest version of the project's Environmental Impact Report.

Copper Mill, as proposed by developer Castle & Cooke Calaveras, would be a retail/commercial center at Highway 4 and Little John Road.

During a public hearing on the project two weeks ago, commissioners took testimony and plan to take more tomorrow.

The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to consider the project at its December 12 meeting.
