Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department Investigates Tuolumne Homicide

Sonora, CA -- The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department is investigating a homicide in Tuolumne.

The Sheriff's Department says the incident happened Friday evening at the Tuolumne Apartments.

Sheriff's deputies say 52-year-old Rudolph Veillette and 38-year-old Isaac Leal were taken into custody and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.

A report indicates that 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report at about 9:30 Friday night that a man had been stabbed in the stomach at Veillette's apartment. Authorities arrived to find the unidentified victim dead on the scene.

Lead investigator Keith Lunney says several witnesses have been interviewed and more are being sought.
