AAA Offers Free Ride Home To Drivers On New Year's Eve

Sonora, CA -- Revelers who may be overdoing it this New Year's Eve will have an alternative way of getting home this year.

AAA of Northern California is launching a new program called "Tipsy Tow" that offers free tow truck rides home.

Organizers say the program is open to everyone and you do not have to be a AAA member.

AAA in conjunction with Vic's Towing will offer the service to drinking drivers from 6pm on New Year's Eve until 6am on New Year's Day.

Drivers can call (800) 222-4357 (AAA-HELP) for a free tow home of up to 5 miles. Just tell the operator, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” and a truck will be on its way.
