Avery Man Arrested After Colliding With Tree

San Andreas, CA -- An Avery man is facing a charge of driving under the influence after a single vehicle accident on Highway 4 last night.

CHP says 26-year-old Shaun Hansen was driving westbound near Tipton House at about 8:45 when he drove off the road and collided with a tree.

A report says Hansen was under an extreme state of intoxication at the time of the crash.

He was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries before being placed under arrest.
