San Andreas, CA -- The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors has directed staff to see what it would cost to clean up several cases of mold, asbestos and lead in its buildings.
County Administrative Officer Tom Mitchell told the board Monday about instances of mold at the child support building, asbestos in the jail and other hazards. There is no funding for the clean up. Payment options could include using the county's contingency fund.
Mitchell gave a quick overview of what it would cost but needed some time to produce a more accurate figure. Further review will reveal the extent of the damage.
