San Andreas, CA -- Two teenagers are recovering from injuries after what they are calling an unavoidable accident Monday.
The California Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Lindsay Jones was traveling westbound on Baldwin Lane, when she began to make a left turn into a private drive without looking for oncoming traffic. CHP reports indicate when she saw the Ford Escort driven by 19-year-old David Mullins; she tried to back up to avoid being hit.
Officials say Mullins was unable to avoid hitting the Honda Jones was driving. Mullins' passenger 18-year-old Lance Utterback was transported to Lodi Memorial with major injuries.
