Several Roads Flooded In Mother Lode

Tuesday, March 28, 2006 - 04:25 PM
Water was rushing higher than normal in Sonora during the spring storms.

Sonora, CA -- Several roads in the Mother Lode are flooding due to the pounding of rain, hail and snow.

Flooding was seen all over the Mother Lode Tuesday

The California Highway Patrol has reported flooding on Rawhide Road, Jamestown and Race Track Roads, Highway 12 at El Papagalo, and Campbells Flat Road.

The Fire Department was called to help when the storm drains were no longer taking in water on Washington Street.

Karry Hubbard with CDF and Tuolumne County Fire Department says the county is not giving out sand bags, however residents can purchase them at hardware and feed stores.
