Sonora, CA -- Old Man Winter seemed to be playing tricks on residents in the Mother Lode with anything but Spring-like conditions.
Motorists were met with countless road hazards during the Tuesday afternoon commute, mostly as a result of flooding.
The California Highway Patrol reported dozens of roads in Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties impassable during the storm that pounded the Mother Lode with rain, hail, and even snow.
Although sand bags were not distributed, Karry Hubbard with CDF Tuolumne County Fire advised residents to purchase bags to protect their homes.
Power flickered on and off in downtown Sonora, which paved the way for several other outages throughout the day.
The National Weather Service says the wet weather is over, for now.
