Sacramento, CA -- Assembly member Dave Cogdill has been named Outstanding Assembly Member for 2005 by the California State Sheriffs' Association.
He received the award Friday for his support on public safety and law enforcement issues. Calaveras County Sheriff Dennis Downum said Cogdill has been a tremendous support in securing rural county crime money.
He's been a go to person, Downum added.
This is the second time Cogdill has received the award.
Cogdill represents the 25th Assembly District, which includes Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.
