Public Policy Poll Favors Governor SchwarzeneggerThursday, March 30, 2006 - 11:00 AM
Sacramento, CA -- Governor Schwarzenegger is not to blame for the failure of his statewide infastructure rebuilding plan to pass the legislature.
That's according to the latest survey from the Public Policy Institute of California. The governor proposed a $222 billion building plan in January and even though 70 percent of the electorate continues to favor that plan, Schwarzenegger and the legislature were unable to agree on a package that could be placed on the June 6 ballot. The survey also shows the majority of Californians support Schwarzenegger over both Controller Steve Westly and Treasurer Phil Angelides in the race for governor.
