Trial Set In Developer Vs. County Lawsuit

San Andreas, CA -- Developer Guy Meyers will have his day in court with Calaveras County on June 8.

Meyers is suing the county for creating the countywide Road Impact Mitigation fee, which charges developers fees for their projects' impact on local roads. He says the program is double taxation and is unconstitutional.

The trial date was set at a trial setting conference in Calaveras Superior Court Monday. The six-day court trial will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Department 6.
