Mokelumne Hill Woman Succumbs To Injuries From Head On Crash

San Andreas, CA -- An elderly Mokelumne Hill woman is dead following a head on collision Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol says 82-year-old Jeanne Wilensky was traveling eastbound on Highway 26 east of Paloma Road when she allowed her vehicle to travel directly into the path of 42-year-old Kimberly Smith.

CHP reports indicate the two vehicles collided head on. Both women were airlifted out of the area with major injuries; however Wilensky succumbed to her injuries several hours later at UC Davis Medical Center.
