Oakdale, CA -- Friday afternoon traffic east of Oakdale was closed for close to three hours on Highway 108 west of Lover's Leap due to a multi-car accident.
According to the Modesto Bee, a 20 year old Cold Springs woman, reportedly under the influence, was driving a 1997 Suzuki SUV at approximately 4:20 when she veered into an oncoming lane and clipped a travel trailer. The Suzuki then struck a 1999 Mercury Tracer and proceeded to then collide with a third vehicle, a 1988 Toyota pickup truck. The 20 year old woman was not wearing a seat belt. She was ejected and severely burned by a fire that originated from the third vehicle, the Toyota pickup.
