Mountain Ranch, CA -- Central Calaveras Fire District Chief Robert Gill has resigned his post as Calaveras County Fire Chief's Association President.
Gill has served as president since 2004. He says he would like to pursue future projects for his own fire district and needs the extra time.
Gill says while serving as president the association made many accomplishments, including adopting a new countywide Master Mutual-Aid Agreement; and minimum wildland firefighter certification standards.
Gill says the association is a vital entity and hopes it will remain so in the future.
