Man Faces Battery Charges After Strangling Father

Dorrington, CA -- A Dorrington man is facing battery charges after an altercation with his father Wednesday.

Calaveras County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene, however 29-year-old Joshua Elliott had already left.

Reports indicate the father; 51-year-old Casey Elliott was strangled during the altercation by his son. Deputies say Joshua Elliott also threatened his father's life. Elliott was located and arrested for the threats made and charges of battery.
