Sonora, CA -- The Sonora Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans will be able to provide more benefits to veterans in Tuolumne County thanks to a successful fundraiser.
The group sold more than $1,600 worth of “Forget Me Nots” in July. Members were stationed in various places throughout Tuolumne County for the annual fund-raising event. Organizers say the local DAV wants to do more for the county's veterans and they encourage more members to attend the second Thursday of the month meetings held at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Sonora.
