Knights Ferry, CA -- CDF officials are reporting that the 150 acre vegetation fire in the Knights Ferry area may be contained by 8:00pm.
Nancy Longmore with CDF says the fire was started by a spark from a grinder on Horseshoe Road. Reports indicate the operator of the grinder was building a fence when the sparks flew into the dry grass. The blaze spread to both sides of the Stanislaus River near Highway 108. No structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.
