Chico Resident Killed In Mother Lode Accident

Jamestown, CA -- 62 year old Jonathan Norris of Chico was killed in a two car accident during the seven o'clock hour Thursday evening.

Norris was driving eastbound on Shaws Flat Rd. approaching Hwy 49. As 50 year old Victoria McCraney of Altaville was approaching Shaws Flat Rd., Norris' rented vehicle pulled into her path. A collision ensued with both vehicles skidding off the road coming to rest in a ditch southeast of the roadway. Norris died at the scene.

58 year old Karolyn Norris was transported to Memorial Hospital by helicopter in stable condition. McCraney and her daughter, 24 year old Sharon McCraney, sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Tuolumne General Hospital.
