Vegetation Fire Near Coulterville Spreading

Coulterville, CA -- More than 150 firefighters from Tuolumne, Calaveras, and Mariposa Counties are battling a 150 acre vegetation fire four miles south of Coulterville on Highway 49.

Reports indicate the blaze started at 11:00am and structures are currently threatened.

Smoke from the fire can be seen in some areas of Tuolumne County. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

CDF officials say crews will work throughout the night to put the blaze out.
