Free Physicals Offered To High School Athletes

Sonora, CA-- There is good news for athletes.

Sonora Regional Medical Center is offering free sports physicals for high school students beginning today. Officials say passing a physical is mandatory to be eligible to play a competitive sport for their school.

More than 30 medical practitioners and workers are volunteering their time for the local high school athletic programs. Sonora High School students can get their free physical at Sierra Internal Medicine at 900 Greenly Road in Sonora.

The program will be open to Sonora High School boys only today, and girls tomorrow. Students attending Mother Lode Christian and Summerville High Schools are scheduled for Wednesday, August 9th at Sierra Family Practice, 12811 Covey Circle, in Sonora. The program will be offered from 6:00-7:00p.m.on these dates.
