Deceased Accident Victim Identified

Sonora, CA -- Late Saturday evening an unidentified 53 year old male from Jupiter, driving a 1980 Datsun, was northbound on U.S. Forest Service Road 3N69Y when for an unknown reason he ran off the roadway edge and went over the embankment, struck a tree and came to rest in a dry stream bed approximately 100 feet from the road.

Now that the next of kin has ben identified, the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department has identified the victim as Alfred Joseph Ramirez. The cause of death has been listed as a heart attack.
