Identity Of Highway 49 Fatality Released

San Andreas, CA -- The 21 year old Altaville man killed Wednesday evening in a car accident on Hwy 49, north of the Calaveras County line, has been identified as Jesse Jamerson.

The Highway Patrol says as his vehicle exited the New Melones Bridge, it crossed over the southbound lane and struck the natural rock wall.

Reports indicate, the vehicle overturned several times, ejecting Jamerson, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
