Sonora, CA-- Mother Lode residents are getting into the Halloween spirit with just a few days before the holiday.
The Junction Shopping Center in Sonora is hosting many festive events including the popular Hi 4-H Haunted House. Organizer Jay Wallace says the money from the fundraiser will go to the children in 4-H for projects and leadership trips. Here is a list of the times and dates the haunted house will be open. Thursday: 10/26 7-8:30pm
Friday: 10/27 7-10pm
Saturday: 10/28 7-10pm
Monday: 10/30 7-8:30pm
Tuesday: 10/31 7-10pm
Organizers say Saturday, a less scary performance will be available from 11-12:30pm for young children. The cost is $5 per person and $1 per person for the afternoon Saturday performance.
For those who like a more friendly Halloween experience, the Halloween Parade and Costume Contest will be held Saturday in the Junction Shopping Center as well. Those 12 years old and younger are eligible to participate. Officials say registration time is at 10am and the parade begins at 11am. Those participating are to meet under the clock.
