Election Countdown: New Trustees For San Joaquin College District?

Calaveras County, CA -- The November 7 General Election is nearing and there are several local races on the ballot.

One such race is for two trustee positions on the San Joaquin Delta Community College District Governing Board.

In Trustee Area 4, incumbent Maria Elena Serna of Lodi is being challenged by cable television executive Karen Munro, also of Lodi.

And in Trustee Area 7, farmer and businessman Stephen A. Schmiedt of Manteca is challenging incumbent Ted Simas, also of Manteca.

The district follows the boundary of Calaveras Unified School District covering West Point, Mokelumne Hill and San Andreas.
