Sacramento, CA -- The state attorney general's office says its anti-marijuana campaign resulted in the seizure of a record 1.6 million plants this year.
That's 540,000 more than were discovered last year. This year's total has an estimated street value of more than $6.7 million dollars. Assisted by CAMP, the state supported Campaign Against Marijuana Planting, the Tuolumne Narcotics Team eradicated 41,110 plants to finished 12th in the state's ranking by counties.
Exclusive of CAMP support, T.N.T. eradicated another 41,890 plants for a record total of 83,000 for the year.
