Sonora, Ca -- The sounds of the season filled the air in downtown Sonora Friday night for the 23rd annual Christmas Parade. Despite temperatures in the 40's, local residents and visitors lined the streets in record fashion.
The parade annually draws guests from the Motherlode and beyond. It is the traditional kick-off to the holiday season. 75 entrants took part. They included local schools, clubs, businesses, law enforcement and other organizations. The parade started at the Red Church and ended at Restano Way. It was led by a group from the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was brought to a close with Santa Claus.
